World leaders are coming to NYC in September for a UN summit on the climate crisis to urge governments
to support a dramatic reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
To support this, a special event is happening in Philadelphia on August 23rd. The Philly stop of the People's Climate Tour will be an inspiring night of stories and lessons from local leaders involved in march planning, as well as a chance to get charged up for the fight ahead.
Philadelphia Speakers include:
• Bill McKibben - author, educator, environmentalist, and co-founder of 350.org
• Sandra Steingraber - Biologist, author of "Living Downstream" and science advisor for Americans Against Fracking
• Rev. Yearwood - Minister, community activist, and President of the Hip Hop Caucus
• Koreti Tiumalu - Pacific Climate Warrior Campaigner
• Eva Wu - artivist, Norris Square Neighborhood Project & Young People's Just Transition Project
