Earth+Bread Is The Bees’ Knees!

Something’s buzzing this Wednesday night at the Mount Airy Green Drinks Chapter! The Earth + Bread Brewery staff will be welcoming the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild for their event on May 30th, 2012.
Guild members of the non-profit organization, established in 2009, will be on hand to answer any and all of your beekeeping and honey questions. Not only will they bring locally sourced honey for a taste testing, but they are also bringing along an observation hive with them. Green Drinkers will be able to see live honey bees, up close and personal.
For more information, go to http://www.phillybeekeepers.org/ and learn more about this amazing organization and their event.

NoLibs Taking It Upstairs!

In response to our member requests, we'll be taking our Green Drinks meetings at the Standard Tap and moving them to the 2nd floor roof-deck area in the summer (weather permitting). It's a great space, newly renovated with an amazing steel canopy courtesy of Iron Studio in Fishtown. With arguably the best bar kitchen in Philadelphia and a sunset view second to none, moving upstairs is one of our better decisions (other than choosing the Standard in the first place!). Next Wednesday, March 2nd, look for GreenDrinks signs in the 1st floor bar area and follow the arrows upstairs!

GreenDrinks NoLibs Member On The Air!

Kat Robbins, of Kat Robbins Interiors (http://www.krinteriors.com) and long-time GreenDrinks Northern Liberties supporter, was showcased as a sustainable interior design expert on WPVI Channel 6 Action News broadcast on Sunday, April 8th.

Interviewed by the station's Melissa Magee, Kat's segment, entitled “Eco-friendly Fashions for Your Home,” detailed one project's use of high end eco-materials like locally sourced woods, custom tile treatments, no VOC paint and luxury fabric made from post consumer PET. Her taped spot can be found here: http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/consumer&id=8613276

Way to go, Kat!
