PLANT POWERED LAMPS LIGHT UP A RURAL VILLAGE IN PERU!

Read about a team of scientists in Peru who developed a new lighting system powered by plants. The Plantalámpara lamp is fueled by nutrients and bacteria found in soil that vegetation release during their growth. The system contains a grid that's capable of catching electrons released by this organic matter when oxidized, which are then used to feed the bulb.
